There are hundreds of charging docks and cables that we see everyday but very few are practical. The Une Bobine is a project on Kickstarter that not only charges your phone but provides a sturdy cable that can be moved to whatever position you could want. Many docks and cables either make you sit your phone into another device or give you the option of simply laying the phone down, with the Une Bobine you can contort the wires into any position. The cable is made of patent-pending materials that are strong enough to hold any phone on the market but also flexible enough to move and contort the phone into positions to take photos, check messages, use the phone on speakerphone, and also use Facetime or equivalent services.

The Une Bobine is able to charge and hold the iPhone (4/4S) as well as almost all models of Android phones. The system has extensions to charge for the 30-pin iPhone models as well as micro-USB. According to their site it should also fit any cases such as popular Otterbox cases that leave the charging connector. The cable comes in a standard 24-inch model with the Petite Bobine being it’s smaller version cut in half down to just 12-inches in total length.

The project is currently on Kickstarter and has already hit its goal. You can contribute various amounts for different rewards but if you want one of the first versions of the Bobine charging wire then you have to contribute $25 or more. So if you’re someone who uses their phone for photography, Facetime, or simply loves new phone gadgets this is something you should add to your arsenal. It’s set to ship sometime around late July.
