3. Purchase the deal at the massively discounted price. Most of the time these deals will be at least 30% off with some of them being 90% off.
4. Once enough people purchase the deal it’s activated (tipped) and you will receive your discount. If not enough people buy then the deal is cancelled and no one gets it. Almost all deals on Groupon seem to get claimed due to the large membership base and the low number of users who have to purchase the deal for it to tip.
5. Once you receive your deal you can claim it at the specified store, usually within a period of time before it expires as noted on the website. There are terms on most of these coupons and vouchers that explain how you can use them and when such as only being able to make appointments on certain times of day for services and restaurants only allowing you to use the “groupon” by itself without combined coupons.
