When looking at a website on an iPad app you can get a completely different experience. That’s what Facebook is trying to pull off with their iPad app that has larger pictures and a completely different user experience. Features of the iPad app include the previously mentioned larger hi-res pictures which take up the whole screen, ability to see who’s nearby, optimized news feed, quick messaging, and for those who play games you can still get full functionality of most games through the iPad app to play them on the go.
The Facebook app for iPad is of course free and can be downloaded in the iTunes store through the link at the bottom of the post. The app improves the experience in Facebook due to the larger images and being able to more fluidly move through sections than the web version.
